While filming a coffee commercial, we got too close to a glacier. Realizing the danger we turned and started to leave the area. About ten seconds after the boat was turned, the glacier calved and we were staring at a huge breaking wave that thankfully fell back on itself... only to throw huge chunks of ice into the air. Of all the ice that fell on and around us (some the size of Volkswagens) only one piece damaged the boat by going right through the wheelhouse right were my head was located a second before. No injuries, but we were pretty shaken up. The second commercial to be shot on an iceberg was cancelled.
